Premium Digisize Göteborg – 50 new digital screens shaping the city
JCDecaux is expanding its digital footprint in Gothenburg. With the Premium Digisize Göteborg initiative, 50 new digital screens are being installed in locations where people actually move through the city, from Brunnsparken and Central Station to major transport hubs such as Korsvägen and busy shopping streets around Nordstan and Avenyn.
Gothenburg is Sweden’s second-largest city, with just over 613,000 inhabitants in the municipality and more than one million people in the wider region. Every day, tens of thousands of people pass through the city centre on their way to work, studies, shopping or leisure activities. These are the flows that the Digisize network is designed to follow.
A digital layer in everyday street life
Premium Digisize Göteborg is a network of digital premium surfaces. The screens are 2.5 metres high, with high-resolution imagery that makes a strong impact in the urban environment.
They are positioned along key pedestrian routes, at tram and bus stops and interchanges, close to malls, restaurants and cafés, and in places where people wait, meet or move between different parts of the city centre.
Who passes the screens?
The audience is anything but easy to fit into a single box. It includes local residents with their daily routines, commuters who arrive at Central Station or Korsvägen every morning, students moving between lectures and cafés, and visitors coming into the city to shop, attend events or experience Gothenburg’s cultural life.
For advertisers, this means campaigns do not only reach a narrow, predefined target group, but a broad mix of city residents and visitors, from young consumers to families and professionals running their everyday errands on the way home.
From static display to dynamic communication
Premium Digisize Göteborg enables real-time control of messaging. Content can be adapted throughout the day, morning commuters, lunchtime crowds, afternoon and evening traffic as well as by day of the week and campaign period.
A retail chain with multiple stores in the city can display different messages on different screens depending on location. A product launch can be given extra visibility over a few intense days, while weekend campaigns can be reinforced when the city centre fills with people shopping and socialising.
Weather can also play a role. Sunny days can trigger communication focused on outdoor life and summer products, while rainy or windy days open up for other types of offers. In other words, the screens don’t need to say the same thing all the time.
Part of Gothenburg’s premium media landscape
For advertisers, Premium Digisize Göteborg offers the opportunity to be present in the city’s strongest pedestrian and commuter flows, with messages that can be fine‑tuned by location, time of day, weather and offer. The network delivers a clear local presence for brands that want to build high visibility in the everyday lives of people in Gothenburg.
